Aisha Yesufu, a staunch critic of President Muhammadu Buhari led government has reacted to the directive given by the President to the CBN to stop providing forex for food import.

The directive to ban the provision of forex for food importation has generated mixed reactions from Nigerians, as some have supported while others are against the policy.


Bring Back Our Girls Convener, Aisha Yesufu has taken to Twitter to question when President Muhammadu Buhari will place a ban on foreign exchange for the importation of petroleum products.


The staunch critic also charged the President to bring his experience of being a former minister of petroleum to bear.


She tweeted:

“Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari
When are we going to put a stop to forex for importation of petroleum products? Isn’t Nigeria self sufficient to refine the crude oil it has? When would the experience you had being Minister of Petroleum all those years ago be put to use? When?!”
