Chinwe Chibuike Foundation, a renowned non-governmental organization in USA and Nigeria, with an influential and operational discharge if its humanitarian works across the Southeast region, has held an healthcare awareness campaign tagged, "STI, STD and Condom Awareness" Program in Owerri, Imo state.

The awareness program on STIs, STDs and condom usage was held during the Condom and STI Awareness week on recognised globally on the 15th of February, 2020. During the STI and STD awareness program, volunteers and Team Members of Chinwe Chibuike Foundation distributed condoms to to several persons and also educated them on ways to prevent STIs, how to identify symptoms of STDs and how to treat sexually transmitted diseases or infections.
The initiative which was powered by World Health Organization, and also witnessed a visit to an orphanage home in Owerri, where teenagers were enlightened and informed about STIs and STDs. Speaking to our reporters during the Outreach, the Founder and president of the foundation, representative expressed delightfulness at the gestures she noticed during the campaign and will-spirit to learn and become informed, as demonstrated by participants of the STI, STD and Condom awareness program on Owerri.

She however appreciated everyone who participated, including persons at the Orphanage where the foundation visited. Participants and beneficiaries also extended appreciation to Chinwe Chibuike foundation for the goodwill and interest in educating, informing and protecting the people with awareness and condom distribution exercise.

The foundation has over the years carried out lots of humanitarian activities in Nigeria which includes the recent medicare intervention outreach, where over 500 persons across 41Local Government Areas of Abia state benefitted. The outreach recorded the delivery of free malaria treatment, which included medical test, medicines for patients, as well as education on the causes and symptoms of malaria and its deadly effect on health.
