According to an online report quoting Sun Yanrong, the deputy head of the China National Center for Biotechnology Development under Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Chloroquine Phosphate was selected from tens of thousands of existing drugs after multiple rounds of screening.
According to her, Chloroquine has been under clinical trials in over 10 hospitals in Beijing, Guangdong Province and central China's Hunan Province, and it has shown fairly good efficacy. In the trials done, patients who had taken the drug have shown better results than others. Chloroquine, Remdesivir, Fapilavir.
