National Inland Waterways Authority top boss, Chief George Moghalu begins sharing of stimulus packages through his foundation known as Zimuzo to help in the battle against the spread of the ravaging COVID 19, today March 28, 2020.

The NIWA boss and also a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed his deep concern on the devastating effect of the pandemic and its spread, which according to him informed his sincere intervention on ways to prevent the spread of the disease, as they say: "prevention is better than cure".

Rev.Ukadike Ibeabuchi, Zimuzo state coordinator speaking on behalf of The Nnewi born philanthropist and a frontline leader in Anambra State hinted on his readiness to render assistance in order to ameliorate the sufferings of the people who are now observing lock-down  measures to prevent the further spread of the virus.

In an event which he was represented by Mr Tony Atuenyi and Mr Okwuegbu Mathew, Chief Moghalu reeled out many measures to be observed by all, which include: regular washing of hands with soap or sanitizer, and maintaining social distancing.

Highlight of the event was the sharing of relief materials and donations made to swell the plans by the Buhari led administration for a comprehensive Pan-African responses to Corona virus pandemic.

According to the NIWA boss, "I believe that this donation from the bottom of my heart will provide significant and much needed support to cushion the effects of this quagmire to our fellow compatriots. This is a time when we must all play our part.  This global epidemic must bring citizens and government together – and quickly.

The relief materials in the tune of critical care and financial support include: hand sanitizers, foodstuffs, drugs such as vitamin C, e.t.c.
