IN ABUJA: UNIBUJA VC Prof. Abdul- Rasheed Na'alla Presented With Life Patronship Of Global Peace Advocacy And Empowerment Initiative In Abuja

The Vice Chancellor of Univsersity of Abuja, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na'Allah has been presented with a Life Patronship Award by the Global Peace Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative. He was presented the Award in his Office at the University of Abuja on the 4th of December 2019.

Speaking to newsmen after the award presentation, Ambassador Badamasi Sadiq Ibrahim, the Principal Executive and President of Global Peace Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative noted that the honour and recognition of Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na'Allah was in view of his unequivocal supports, contributions and efforts in promoting and sustaining peace.

Amb. Badamasi also called on academicians and institutions of higher learning to emulate the Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na'Allah and his input in advocating for global peace especially in Nigeria. However, the Uniabuja VC has been one of the most outstanding Academicians who have remained undauntedly committed to the improvement of peace in Nigeria.

Other distinguished and notable national figures who were presented with the Life Patronship of Global Peace Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative includes Shiekh Dr. Karibullahi Nasir Kabara, a notable Kano-born Islamic scholar and Philsopher . He is also the head of Torikatul Kadiriya in Africa and has used his position and power to continually influence peace in Nigeria and across Africa.

The award presentation witnessed the participation and inclusion of international agencies including notable media houses like Voice of America, Voice of Nigeria, NTA and amongst several other globally recognized media agencies across the globe.

Recently, the Uniabuja VC Professor Abdul-rasheed Na'allah kick-started a tree-planting campaign within the University of Abuja school premises and beyond, with an envisioned mandate to curb the negative effects of climatic change in Africa and Nigeria in particular. This campaign by Uniabuja VC has attracted loads of applauds and commendations from national institutions across Nigeria including the office of The Chief Security Officer, Global Peace Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative(GPAEI) amongst other notable institutions.
