Bauchi state Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela has tested positive for coronavirus.

Blood samples of those who came into contact with the Deputy Governor who is also the state Chairman of the Taskforce on COVID-19 have been taken and submitted for coronavirus tests.

StatePress learned the  coronavirus status of the Deputy Governor was announced in a statement by Governor Bala Mohammed's Special Assistant on Media, Mr.  Muktar Gidado on Tuesday night.

While wishing Tela a speedy recovery, the governor also advised citizens of the state to observe coronavirus prevention guidelines.

Governor Bala Mohammed had himself tested positive for coronavirus on  24th of March  2020 and  recovered  from the disease about three weeks later
