With the African Giant celebrating its 60th Independence Anniversary, reputable youths from across several sectors have held a roundtable deliberation to provide strategic solutions to the growing challenges of the nation's democracy, especially with emphasis on youth unemployment, insecurity, electronic voting system and youth participation in good governance.

Few days ago, Democracy Youth Roundtable held her Independence edition, and it witnessed the distinguished presence of the Representative of Special Adviser to the President on Youth and Student Matters, Mr Tony Dan Isokariari- Government Relations Advisor, Amb Elijah Onyeagba, Nigeria Ambassador, Hon. Jafaru Ribadu Member, Fed. House of Representatives, Hon Prof Steve Azaiki, Member, Federal House of Representatives, Ms Adaora Onyechere, Executive Director Wewe Network Afrique /Head of Gender and Women Affairs (G-60) for the African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly, Amb Utchay Odims- Co Founder Gia Africa Foundation/ UN Youth Ambassador, Queen Mercy Atang Politician Ex Beauty Queen, Mr Sunny Anderson Osiebe, CEO HallowMace Communication.



The event which was a commemoration of Nigeria's 60th Independence Anniversary, commenced with an official welcome address by the Convener, Amb. Desmond Agboola, who centered his address on the required roles of youths in making Nigeria great again. The occasion which was themed, "Arise O' Compatriot". witnessed panel sessions, discussions and deliberatiaons on issues surrounding youths development, that will help strengthen the democratic system of Nigeria.

Some participants at the occasion who spoke with our Reporter made similar commendations, as they emphasised on the timeliness, relevance, coerciveness and organizational coordination of the event. Others maintained that the occasion was educative, incisive and focused on advancement and development.



Speaking with the Convener of gathering of the most Influential Young Nigerians, Amb. Desmond Agboola, he appreciated guests, participants, volunteers and partners of Democracy Youth Roundtable 4.0. He thanked them for their supports, presence and contributions during the discussion, panel session and delebrations of the occasion.
