As Nigeria continues to battle the challenges of insurgency, insecurity and incessant killings across several Communities in Nigeria, especially in the northern region, the Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, CG Abdullahi Muhammadu Gana, has assured Nigerians of the Agency's interest and undaunted commitment in ensuring the unconditional safety of lives and properties across the country.


He made the statement of reassurance during an interview with news men few hours ago. He stated that it was the comprehensive personal objective plan of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps-NSCDC. However, the NSCDC has continue to frontline proactive initiatives and programs for improved security in Nigeria.


According to to reports on the increasing viability of the Nigerian Police and the military to manage the spate of insecurity and threats to lives and properties, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has remained mandated to assist the military in the management of threats to internal security in the country.


Recently, NSCDC expanded its capacity in areas of securing farmers and farmlands, though was unable to do much as a result of limited budget and underfunding. Regardless, Personnels of NSCDC has continue to join farmers in their farmlands in a bid to maintain and provide security, through the operation of "Agro Rangers", a new team which was initiated by CG Abdullahi Muhammadu Gana
