With the ongoing agitations for youth inclusiveness, participation and more involvement in governance and leadership, the Democracy Youth Roundtable had few hours held its 5th edition to deliberate on prospective roadmaps and strategic suggestions, including potential actions for better participation of youths in governance. 


The well attended occasion was held at National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja and it recorded the notable and distinguished presence of young Nigerian leaders who has continuously been on the frontline in the campaign for democratic reform through youth inclusiveness, participation in governance and administrative positions, with a view to promote growth, thereby securing a better future for the generations of our youths yet unborn.

Some of the reputable personalities who where present at the event included the former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Dani Kayode, Former Governor of Kwara State, HE Abdulfatai Ahmed, Ms Ndi Kato- Activist,Comrade Jude imagwe- Former Special Adviser to the President on Youth and Student Affairs, Hon Zainab Buba Galadima, Barr Nonso Henry Nwaebili, Sunny Anderson Osiebe, Barry Avotu Johnson, CMDT HE Alistair Soyode-CEO Ben TV London, Congressman Bimbo Daramola, Panelist Session hosted by Miss Ogenna Ekwubiri

and amongst other notable Personalities like Special Advisers to Governors, Presidents and other disguised youth leaders across several democratic institutions.

Speaking with newsmen during the occasion, the Convener Amb. Desmond Agboola he noted that the Initiative is aimed at providing responsive solutions for the integration of youth in the democratic system, thereby seeking proactive measures for reform of our electoral system, whereby the youths can establish a synergy that will enhance youth participation in the nation's electoral system.


According to him the 5th edition of Democracy Youth Roundtable was designed to support proactive engagements and actions for the advancement and development of Nigeria's democratic system. However, the engaging and occasion also witnessed a panel session, where young Nigerian leaders made deliberations, suggestions and engaged in discussions that will further support the development of democratic system.
