Former Kwara State Governor, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed has disclosed reasons for visiting Economic and Financial Crimes Commission office in Abuja.

Ahmed in a teaser message released by Alhaji Wahab Oba who served as his Chief Press Secretary while in office, said it's an ongoing investigation.

"Ex-Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed today visited the EFCC in Abuja in response to an invitation concerning an ongoing investigation. Alhaji Ahmed has always cooperated with the agency in its investigation and will continue to as a law-abiding citizen". Wahab Oba explained.

AbujaPress gathered that the former governor was interrogated for about seven hours on N9billion  alleged fund diversion while in office.

Our correspondent is yet to confirm, If Ahmed will pass the night at EFCC Office located in Jabi, Abuja.
