COVID-19: Miss Health Beauty Pageant Postponed Over Omicron Variant Scare 

The 2021 Miss Health Beauty Pageant earlier scheduled to take place on December 11, 2021 has been called off. 

This is due to the discovery of Omicron variant of COVID-19 in Nigeria by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, the CEO Miss Health International Beauty Pageant, Amb. Nick Bebiem said in a press statement on Wednesday. 

He said this has become vital in line with the objectives, mission and vision of Miss Health Beauty contest. 

"Therefore, in line with the Miss Health Beauty Pageant objectives, mission and vision it has become unavoidably pertinent to postpone the 2021 Miss Health Beauty Pageant. 

"All contestants have been asked to vacate the camp and they have immediately acted accordingly" the statement partly read. 

While expressing regret over inconveniences this may cause the relevant stakeholders and invited guests, Amb. Nick Bebiem said a new date will be announced. 

He therefore encouraged all Nigerians who are yet receive the COVID-19 vaccine to immediately do so to curtail the spread of the virus. 

He further applauded the government for its swift response in managing the emerged COVID-19 Omicron Variant.
