Mr. Uche Nwosu, the arrested son-in-law of former governor of Imo State, Sen. Rochas Okorocha has been released.

Report has it that he was released unconditionally late Sunday to reunite with his family.

The former Chief of Staff to Imo State governor was arrested on Sunday in a gestapo style by security agents at St.Peters Anglican Church, Nkwere during church service.

The Action Alliance governorship candidate in 2019 election was in the Church for his mother's outing service following her burial last week.

The security agents who scared worshippers away with sporadic shooting were said to be in military camouflage.

Though no reason was given for his arrest, the Imo State Police Command on Sunday dismissed report that Uche Nwosu was kidnapped.

The invasion of the church hall by security agents has since attracted condemnation, with some analysts describing it as the desecration of God's house.
