Prince Dr. Emeka Eze, House of Representative PDP aspirant for the 2023 elections for the Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency in Anambra State, has commenced consultations across the country in a bid to actualizing his ambition.

Prince Eze having visited several traditional heads and prominent indigenes of Anambra State, he recently gathered residents of Abuja who are natives of Ukpo Ancient Kingdom in Dunukofia local government area of Anambra State to officially declare his intentions to join the race while also canvassing for support.

The symbolic event which had over 300 indigenes led by High Chief Ifeanyi Omeokachie received the aspirant with joy as they reminisced on positive contributions his lineage has brought to the community for generations.

While addressing the audience, The Medical Doctor thanked everyone for the overwhelming reception, and enumerated reasons that spurred him to run for the people’s representatives at the National Assembly. According to him, for over 20 years of democracy the people of Ukpo kingdom have not had any representation in the National Assembly, which has stifled the necessary infrastructural development in Ukpo community.

He reminded all that he is not a green horn in politics having been actively involved at various levels including he’s shot as gubernatorial running mate in 2019 and therefore understands the needs of his people and would push policies that would propel relevant developments.

Speaking about the reasons he organized such an event in Abuja instead of his constituency in Anambra State, Prince Emeka said “I hope to reach out to all my people home and abroad to assure them of my genuine interest and vision for the constituency. Moreover, the people I’ve met here today would relate with family back home to relay my intentions thereby making my job of reaching every single person less.”

Responding to journalist about his rationale for supporting Prince Dr. Eze Emeka and leading the delegation of the Ukpo people to honor him, High Chief Ifeanyi Omeokachie said “Doctor Eze has the pedigree, doggedness and a sensitive heart towards his people. I’ve known him for a very long time now and I’m confident that by the grace of God when he emerges, our people would feel the dividends of democracy and would understand our unshakeable stand for him.

Other attendees expressed happiness and satisfaction, pledging their unreserved support for the man they’ve come to trust.
