The founder and CEO of Itex Group, an indigenous furniture manufacturing company in Nigeria, Tony Ohifeme Ezekiel has joined in the race to represent the people Edo North Senatorial District at the National Assembly in 2023.
This comes as the entrepreneur states that he has distinctive qualities that stand him out, which according to him includes integrity, competence, character, skills and excellent service.
He announced him decision to vie for the seat in a social media post on Tuesday on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
While considering it a privilege to serve the people in this capacity, the successful businessman urged for support and prayers.
He also assured that if elected, he will attract dividends of democracy to the people.
"Compliments of the political season and the anticipated activities associated with it.
"Tony Ohifeme Ezekiel of Owan West LGA, consider it a great privilege to inform you through this unique medium of my intention to aspire for the forth coming Edo North Senatorial race on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party.
"I am defined by certain qualities; Integrity is my strength, competence is my skill, service is my culture and the people are my passion.
"Kindly pray and support our course, where equity, delivery of democratic dividends and the overall development of our land will be enhanced" he says.
His company Itex Furniture has handled several high profile jobs in the country. His success in building his enterprise is also linked to his passion for the country and for ‘building’ people.
Fondly called ‘The Carpenter,’ Tony’s Itex Furniture started its operation from a car port garage and has grown to an ultra-modern factory complex with state of the art machines on a 2.5 hectares parcel of land in the new Idu Industrial District, Abuja with a staff strength of more than 100 persons.
