Delta born Nollywood film Star Dave Ogbeni Friday played host to veteran actor Chief Pete Edochie and other notable movie practitioners in Nollywood who were in the state capital to attend the Delta Fashion, Comedy and Music Expo which held at the Dome event Centre Asaba.

During the visit, Dave ogbeni and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Hon frank Otoide took his colleagues on a tour to the Delta State Film Village under construction by the state Governor Sen Dr Ifeanyi Okowa to ascertain the level of work done.

Dave who spoke to newsmen said the effort was in line with the Governor’s directives to carry the movie practitioners along in the actualization of the project, and to correct any mistake by the engineers that may cause problems to the end users who are the practitioners.


According to the Dave, the film village when completed would play host to both national and international film practitioners and would in turn boost the quality and quantity of movies produced in Asaba the state capital.

He further thanked the Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa for dignifying the efforts of movie practitioners in the state with a modern film village.

Other actors present during the tour were Ngozi Ezeonu , Walta Anga, Browny Igboegwu, John Badaiki, Rita Daniels.

 Also present were renowned Nollywood top producers Solo Apete, Anita Odiakose and Don Single.

The Film village is slated to open officially by June 2022 as proposed by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
