You know how you get a chill and goosebumps after watching a thrilling movie series? That’s what the Blood sisters did to us.

Blood sisters, a riveting four-part limited series that premiered on Netflix today, May 5, 2022, was so fantastic that it practically couldn’t be faulted, save for the way it ended, which we forgive.

Blood Sisters was suspenseful, unpredictable, and delivered a great narrative in a fun way. It is, without a doubt, the nicest Nollywood release to date. We genuinely had to pause at intervals to soak in the various feelings and shivers that it threw at us.

We also liked how it had genuine laugh out loud moments and interactions.

Temidayo Makanjuola wrote the four-part series, which was directed by Biyi Bandele and Kenneth Gyang.

Sarah (Ini Dima-Okojie) and Kemi (Nancy Isime) are best friends who become fugitives after Sarah’s violent fiancé, Kola (Deyemi Okanlawon), unexpectedly disappears just before the wedding ceremony.

Ramsey Nouah, Kate Henshaw, Segun Arinze, Uche Jombo, Keppy Ekpeyong, Etim Effiong, Wale Ojo, Toke Makinwa, Ibrahim Suleiman and Nancy Isime, Ini Dima-Okojie, and Deyemi Okanlawon are among the movie’s stars.

Cameo appearances by Zack Orji, Toyin Abraham, and Joke Silva were also made.

The production was fantastic, with beautiful clothes and extremely good actors; all of the characters owned and inhabited their parts, particularly the breakthrough star, Genoveva Umeh who portrayed Timeyin, Gurl was fire, especially in the last scene, as one would expect from Ebony Life Films.

Nancy Isime and Ini Dima-Okojie, blood sisters, made it simple for spectators to sense their closeness, their anguish, and the few moments of joy they shared; if you’re an emotional movie viewer like us, prepare to cry.

Words aren’t enough to describe the supervillain we didn’t see coming, Kate Henshaw! P.S. We’re not sure whether it’s just us, but having a mother kiss her son on the lips twice before the engagement ceremony felt weird.

The eccentric combo of Kehinde Bankole and Gabriel Afolayan is also worth mentioning; at first, we didn’t think their chemistry was there, but as the story went, one couldn’t help but appreciate them for their madness.

What about Ramsey Nouah, the attractive and straight-faced Uncle B, who will captivate you for the first few hours with his facial expression, hitman bodyguard vibes, and flawless acting?

Every aspect was paid attention to in Blood Sisters, there was no dragging or needless scenes, and it wasn’t star-studded for nothing!

Mo Abudu has definitely outdone herself this time, having broken our hearts earlier this year with Chief Daddy 2.
