Popular broadcast journalist and Executive Director Gender Strategy Advancement International (GSAI), a leading NGO in Nigeria on gender inclusion advocacy & research, Adaora Onyechere has been selected as a panelist in the upcoming IBB annual legacy dialogue. 


The event which has as the theme, "Issues of Africa's Democratic Journey" comes up on August, 25, 2022 at 10:00am.

It is organised by the Ibrahim and Maryam Babangida Presidential Library Foundation. 


A quote from the convener, and former military President of Nigeria, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida says, "There are no doubts that, the situation in the country today, indicates that there is much more work to do in the process of reforming the political economy and improving the quality of life of our people and communities."


Onyechere, a loud voice in the advocacy for women inclusion is also the Head, Women Affairs & Gender Cluster Committee Africa Union ECOSOC Nigeria, a role in which she has seen to the launching of several intervention programs that seeks inclusion for women across sectors.   


She is also the Chairperson ElectHer Agenda35 Advisory Council Founded By Ibijoke Faborode 

ElectHER is on of the largest Pan-African organization championing Women Political Inclusion in Nigeria. 


She is also a United Nations Peace Ambassador. 


At the moment, she is the host of her own TV show Gender Agenda, an interactive 30 minutes TV programme on women's issues and policy literacy cutting across various sectors in Nigeria and airing exclusively on Africa Independent Television (AIT).


Not long ago, she was honoured at the 2022 International Women Power Conference Africa award in the category of 20 Most Influential Women in Media. 


As part of activities marking the 2022 International Youth Day, she also addressed a conference in Abuja organised by the youths of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP. 


At the Legacy Dialogue, she is expected to highlight ways to strengthen the country's democratic journey and good governance by fostering women inclusion in governance.
