Osun: when will you congratulate the Incoming governor – Davido to Gov. Oyetola

Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, fondly known as Davido, has asked Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State to congratulate his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the incoming govern0r of the state.

Adeleke had defeated Oyetola in July poll, which is the last off season election before the 2023 general elections.

In a tweet on Saturday, the Fem crooner said in 2018 when Oyetola emerged governor, his uncle congratulated him.

“Your excellency sir @GboyegaOyetola when will you congratulate the Incoming governor of your state @AAdeleke_01 … in 2018 my uncle congratulated you even though it was stolen … do the right thing baba .. one love ,” he tweeted.

In the keenly contested election, Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 403,371 votes to defeat Governor Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 375,027 votes.

Davido played a notable role in Adeleke’s victory in the election.

He was with the governor-elect through thick and thin four years ago when their efforts did not yield the desired result.

After the 2018 loss, Davido went back to the drawing board and again they launched a new campaign.
