Public Lecture Delivered By Comrade Val Igwebuike On The Town Meeting/Seminar  Organised  By Obibiezena  Youth Association (OYA) On This Day 27th, August,  2022.

Topic Of Discussion: OBIBIEZENA INTEREST  IN 2023 GENERAL  ELECTION.

The Chairman of today's occasion, The Traditional  Ruler of Obibiezena  Autonomous  Community, HRH, Eze Dr Sir Peter U. Onyewuenyi, The President General of Obibiezena development union (ODU) and by God's grace and timely too, the young, erudite and exuberant candidate of Labour Party of Nigeria, Hon. Sir Tochukwu Chinedum Okere, The indefatigable President of Obibiezena Youth Association, Ezinwa Mark Morris Okere, Our Traditional Prime Minster and the highly  scholarly Palace secretary of Obibiezena  Ancient Kingdom, Chief Dr Emma Ekwoenye, President Udodiri Ndom Obibiezena, Engr Mrs Eze Ajoku, our celebrated legal luminary, Barr. Austin Uche, my co-speakers in today's occasion, distinguished ladies and gentlemen.

When I was called by the able and restless President of OYA, Ezinwa Mark Morris Okere to deliver today's lecture with the topic: Obibiezena Interest in 2023 General Election, I was engrossed by so many thoughts and challenges, other than ideas. One was the fact that, knowing  the person I am, and my penchant and disposition to say things the way they are at all times not minding whose ox is gored, I concluded that the Obibiezena youths have decided  to set a trap of colossal enmity for me.

Secondly, I was trying to figure out which angle this OYA trap would come from, considering  the glaring fact that for the first time in many  years in this democratic era, our own son has taken the bull by the horn in his clearcut determination to mitigate the rapid decay of all social amenities in Obibiezena as a direct result  of our non-participation in political leadership at all levels - State Assembly, Federal House and Senate of the National Assembly,  Gubernatorial and Presidential.

From the above politically pitiable and socially relegating position of Obibiezena citizens in political affairs of the State and country, it became obvious to me that the Obibiezena youths were looking  for the man who will call a spade a SPADE and not an amorphous nomenclature. If this is the case, then I can humanly accept to be one of the indigenes whom the cap fits. (and of all known truth in this highly sophisticated and  superstitious  community of ours, that person is no-other than Comrade Val Igwebuike Dialaeme Akagha.) My name is Val Igwebuike Dialaeme Akagha, and I will always stand with the Truth.

Therefore, I wish to sincerely plead to all present at this occasion to take my lecture as a TOTAL PRESENTATION OF TRUTH OF THOUGHT ABOUT THINGS,  AND TRUTH  IN THE ACCURATE EXPRESSION OF THOUGHT ABOUT THINGS BASED ON THE COLLECTIVE POLITICAL ASPIRATION  OF THE PEOPLE OF OBIBIEZENA, AND NOT THE WILLFUL EXPRESSION OF THOUGHT ABOUT THINGS AS SUBJECTIVELY PERCEIVED AND PRESENTED BY THAT RADICAL, UNPREDICTABLE AND DIFFICULT VAL IGWEBUIKE.
This way, you will be emphatic to the feelings of our people and their current political stance and collective desires to be part of the ruling class in the political space of Nigeria as their country and Imo as their state.

Having cleared the air, let me now dive into the topic of today's lecture:

Globally, politics has been accepted as a game of interest - the very WORD mentioned as the focal target, desire or fulcrum of Obibiezena people's wish for 2023. If this is so, the next suitable question would be:  what is POLITICS?
From a connotative point of view, politics is the activities associated with the governance of a country or an area, which is aimed at improving  the citizens' sociopolitical status and increasing power within organisations or an area. It is also associated with debates between political parties having power in a given sovereign state.

Given the definition above, it is obvious that there cannot be any election without the game of politics and the domineering involvement of political parties.
In Nigeria, as in many other countries of the world, political parties play pivotal roles in the  determination of electoral victory at elections. Here, it becomes more obvious too, that the participation of people in election demands full alliance and allegiance to political parties. Political  parties are  indisputable  vehicles by which political gladiators and electorates engage the system and subsequently navigate themselves to political power.
This is the hard truth!

If we accept this as the truth, it becomes  compulsory that the people of Obibiezena must first and foremost, meticulously assess all political parties in Nigeria today and overtly choose one, which must be people-oriented. One which is currently addressing the general  concerns of the people, and which is seen as people-driven against all odds in this politically endangered country.
A people-driven political party is most likely positioned to enjoy majority of the people's votes in 2023 General elections. Obibiezena is not a democratically barricaded island in Nigeria, so the current waves of political paradigm shift will  certainly splash on the community if the people identify with a political party of choice.

OBIBIEZENA INTEREST IN 2023 GENERAL ELECTION NOW DEFINED:
Without mincing words  or demonstrating any pretentious circumlocution, I boldly state in categorical and unambiguous language that the INTEREST OF OBIBIEZENA IN 2023 GENERAL ELECTION is to have our own SON in the Green Chambers of the Nigerian legislative House, otherwise  known  as the National  Assembly.

Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, as I think we all know, it is no longer news that our own proactive, indefatigable, exuberant,  philanthropic, humble, dedicated, caring, loving, welcoming and erudite President General of Obibiezena development union, Sir Tochukwu Chinedum Okere is the Candidate of a political party, vying for the Federal House of Representatives.
That political party is no other than the Nigerian  THIRD FORCE, which has defiled all strangulating political odds just to produce a new Nigeria for our hopeless and near ravaged political environment. The name of this new HOPE and resurrected spirit of the dead and buried sovereignty of Nigeria is the LABOUR PARTY.

At this auspicious moment, it is important to mention the quintessential brand personality with a presidential gravitas, whose academic and political profile and pedigree brought the obscene Labour Party to national and international limelight within two months of his membership in the party.
Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, nde Obibiezena ibem, this enigmatic political big Tree of our time, who has thwarted the devastating political malady formidably institutionalised in our political administration by the old order for the good of the common man and  politically neglected Nigerians, is the HUMBLE but aristocratic Mr. Peter Obi.

At this juncture, permit me to be religious in order to flow in this lecture with the culture for which Africans are known in the expression of a given situation.
As it is known today in global perception that Africans are identified with the character of involving God in all their dealings and outcomes, whether positive or negative. Obibiezena people are grateful to God that at this period of their hearty desire for political leadership inclusion, especially at the national level, their own son and visible political EYE is in no other political party,  but the one that is directly piloted by the PERSONIFICATION OF THE NEW NIGERIA himself, the quintessential Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

To actualize the Obibiezena interest in 2023 General election, we must do away with all differences, visible or invisible, known and unknown. We must come out unpretentiously to demonstrate open support and solidarity to our brother. We must give our 100% vote to Sir Tochukwu Chinedum Okere, doing everything possible to ensure he emerges the winner of the 2023 general elections for the Federal House of Representative alongside the presidential candidate of Labour Party,  Mr Peter Obi. This is the duty of the moment. This is our hope for a better tomorrow.

Thank you.
