A renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Amb. Dr. Buhari Bello Ibrahim has bagged the Young and Influential Personality award of the year at the recently concluded Democracy Heroes Award.
The award which was the tenth edition had as theme, "Sustaining Democracy Through Peaceful Electioneering"
He came ahead of other nominees from six geopolitical zones of the country in the same category in an online voting exercise.
He is is also a humanitarian and philanthropist who has bagged several awards.
Voters deployed yardsticks such as impact in youth community and efforts to raise awareness on the plight of young people, as well as philanthropic gestures in aligning their voting pattern.
The Heroes of Democracy award which took place at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja had as the theme, Sustaining Democracy Through Peaceful Electioneering.
Ibrahim's award certificate read, "We present to the general public the Winner/Recipient of this Award Category in the 10th Edition of Democracy Heroes Award Africa.
'After a democratic process through nominations, screening and voting, Hon. Amb. Dr. Buhari Ibrahim has been distinguished to be honoured for the award".
Heroes of Democracy award is packaged by Face of Democracy Nigeria, FDN projects, Organisers of Face of Democracy Nigeria, which has as the Project Director, Olufunsho Ajagbonna aka Fajag.
