The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, in separate public notices signed by the management, has announced that there will be power interruptions in some parts of Abuja on Friday and Saturday.

According to the notices, this is to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria to carry out maintenance exercise between the hours of 7am and 6pm within the two days of the maintenance.

In one of the notices, the management of the distribution company said the outage would interrupt power supply to Ipent 7 Estate, Efab Metropolis, MAB Global, 69 road, 64 and 62 road, 6th and 7th avenue, Adkan (Citec & Charly boy) and environs.

The AEDC also said the outage would equally interrupt the supply to Dawaki Village, Dawaki extension, Sokale village, part of Dutse, part of Kubwa and its environs.

Meanwhile, the Chief Marketing Officer, Donald Etim, told our correspondent that the planned maintenance would not be a blackout, as power would be restored as soon as the maintenance was done.

“It is a TCN scheduled maintenance, not a blackout, so power will be restored shortly,” he said.
