The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano, Abdullahi Abbas, has asked the Nigeria Police Force to arrest and prosecute the State New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, gubernatorial candidate, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for allegedly harboring political thugs in his city center house.

Abbas, said Yusuf had reportedly turned his ancestral house in the city into a deadly political thugs home, with them engaging in drugs and other serious criminal activities.

“Right now, many people are relocating from the area because of fear of the uncertainty as they cannot live with thugs who are carrying heavy weapons and are always on drugs, that is why police have quickly come into the matter”, Abdullahi Abbas said.

He said, the situation, if not arrested on time, would open a door of serious security threats with the 2023 election fast approaching.

But responding to the allegations, the spokesperson of the NNPP gubernatorial candidate, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said the allegations are baseless, rather the APC chairman was the one meant to present himself before security agencies due to his anti-peace comments and hate speeches.
