Kogi State governor and member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Yahaya Bello, has dismissed reports making round in some quarters on his purported withdrawal of support for presidential candidate of APC, Bola Tinubu.

PlatinumPost reports that a national daily, Tribune, had on Sunday, report that Bello has backed out from Tinubu’s campaign as a result of feelers reaching him that the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, James Faleke, may throw his hat into the ring for the APC governorship ticket in the state.

But responding to the story in a terse post on his verified social media pages on Sunday, Bello, described the report as fake, calling on Nigerians to disregard it.

The Kogi governor expressed his full commitment to the candidacy of Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

“FAKE NEWS ALERT

” Kindly disregard every fake news being spread by mischievous media outlets.

“My unwavering support for Tinubu/Shettima 2023 is 100% undiluted.

” God bless APC!!!”

” God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria, ” Bello said.
