Investors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday visited University of Abuja (UniAbuja) to explore areas of possible investment in the institution.


The delegation, which expressed delight over the various opportunities in UniAbuja, said their visit was to seek partnership with the University on various developmental projects.


Responding, UniAbuja’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah. expressed the readiness of the institution to partner with investors and others to reposition the institution for better performance.


PlatinumPost reports that the Vice Chancellor had recently threw the University’s doors open to investors, saying it was fully ready to leverage on its abundant human and mineral resources to attract industries as well as investors to the campus.


Professor Na’Allah said students and academic staff would also benefit massively from mineral exploration in the area of practical and research.


He said investors stand to gain a lot by coming to the University which is located just 10 minutes away from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and about 25 minutes drive from Abuja Central business district, adding that the move to designate the UniAbuja as a free trade zone would also be a major boost for prospective investors.


“We have begun the process to turn the entire campus and declare it by Federal Government as economic free zone,” the Vice Chancellor said during a recent jointly organised event with Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
