President-elect, Bola Tinubu, has cast his vote in the ongoing governorship and state assembly elections in Lagos State.


Tinubu, who cast his vote at polling unit 085 Alausa, Ikeja, on Saturday morning, called on Nigerians to troop out en masse to perform their civic duties by taking part in the polls across the country.


He said : “I just joined other Nigerians in exercising my civic duty in the ongoing governorship and state assembly elections. I encourage you all to go out and vote peacefully.”


Abujapress reports that Lagos gubernatorial election is being closely contested by incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress and popular Labour Party’s candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, among others.
