The spokesperson of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Sogbeyi Eli has claimed that Peter Obi of the Labour party won Rivers State in the presidential election, but different results were declared.

Eli, while speaking to our correspondent, said people who were on the field saw the results coming in but were surprised to see that the declared results didn’t match what was recorded from the polling units.

Citing examples, he said the candidate of the Labour party won in Bori, Khana LGA of Rivers State but the result recorded from the areas didn’t come close to what was declared by INEC.

He said “Do you know why people are raising eyebrows over the result that came in Rivers State?

“People on the field saw the result coming; Those results do not reflect what was finally declared.

“Labour party won in Bori; but what is the final declaration?

“So let’s assume that Wike supported Asiwaju, his candidate for House of Representatives was also declared.”

Bola Tinubu of the APC who was declared president-elect won Rivers state after polling a total of 231,591 votes in Rivers State as against Obi’s 175,071 votes.

Atiku came third with 88,468 votes, while Kwankwaso scored 1,322 votes in a distant fourth.
