Rita Daniels Chukwuji, mother of celebrity actress, Regina Daniels has raised alarm over alleged impersonation by criminal elements who have cloned her name and image on Facebook, using same to swindle unsuspecting members of the public.
While calling on the general public not to fall victim of fraudulent activities from the account, she said the account does not represent her neither did she endorse the setting up of the page.
In a statement on Saturday, she said she has reported the development to appropriate quarters while efforts are ongoing to unmask those behind the criminal activities.
"For record purpose, the account with over 190k followers does not belong to me, neither am I the one sending messages to people about a supposed women empowerment. It one such activities of criminal elements who are bent on using my good name and image to swindle unsuspecting members of the public of their hard-earned money.
"I have reported this development to the appropriate quarters while efforts are being made to track and arrest the criminal impostors. For the meantime, I appeal to everyone not to fall victim of any sharp practices or fraudulent message(s) emanating from the account as it does not represent me", she said.

She appealed for patience and vigilance while the security agencies unmask the elements behind the criminal activities.
