Women and Girls' Organisation, Diocese of Lagos Mainland, St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, Aguda Surulere Lagos has honoured Barr. Orby Venessa Agwuncha with appreciation award.


The award is in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the growth and development of women and youths, as well well the church in general.


Speaking at the event which coincided with 2023 Mothers' Day, the priest in charge of the communion, the Vicar praised Barr. Agwuncha who was also the first female chairperson of the harvest committee of the church for her selflessness in humanitarian services. 

He noted that the award also goes to show that while Barr. Agwuncha was the committee chairman, she represented the women folk effectively, which makes her deserving of the prestigious recognition.


The priest also commended all other roles she has played in the lives of young people in the church and beyond.


The cleric prayed for God's guidance as she continues to serve humanity, saying the award is a symbol of appreciation for all her efforts.

Receiving the award on behalf of Barr. Agwuncha, her assistant, Eunice Adimorah appreciated the church for recognising the modest effort of her principal.


She conveyed the recipient's appreciation and dedicated the award to all orphans and all women who are yet to experience the motherhood, praying God to meet them at the points of their needs.


She also thanked other women who joined her to receive the award while applauding the host and chairperson Mrs Nkem Mgbemena
