Tragedy struck on Monday in Ikirun the headquarters of Ifelodun Local Government Areas of Osun State when a truck loaded with granite run over a market and rammed to the palace of Akirun of Ikirun.
The incident led to the death of one commercial motorcyclist Mukaila Okedowo while several others sustained various degrees of injuries as several goods, cars and motorcycles were damaged.
The Nation gathered the incident happened around 1:30pm on Monday while the truck coming from Obagun community and traverse Ikirun lost control around Oja-Oba (Market) area and rammed through the traders before it hit the gate of Akirun of Ikirun where a commercial motorcyclist was crushed. Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Osun Command, Kehinde Adeleke blamed it on overspeeding.
