The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has zoned the positions of the 10th National Assembly.


A statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka obtained by Abujapress stated that the party zoned the Senate President seat to the south-south, while the position of the deputy Senate President is zoned to the North-West.


In the same vein, the ruling party zoned the position of the Speaker of the House of Representatives to the North-West and Deputy Speaker to the South-East.


“The NWC noted with respect the outcome of the meetings held between the President-Elect and the leadership of the NWC. The NWC called for further and better consultation with necessary stakeholders in order to assure the support of the aspirants to the National Assembly leadership positions and members of the Party nationwide.

The zoning arrangement reported to the NW/C is as follows:

SENATE:

2. Deputy Senate President – North West – Senator Barau Jubrin (Kano).
