Nigerian youths on Thursday ushered in Bola Tinubu’s Presidency with a Renewed Hope concert after being conferred with the National honour of the Grand Commander in Chief of the the Federal Republic (GCFR), by President Muhammadu Buhari.


The concert, which was attended by youths across the 36 states of the country had in attendance, Tinubu, Senator Kashim Shettima who was equally conferred with the honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) same day.


Speaking on why the concert was organised, the Chairman Local Organising Committee of the Renewed Hope Concert, Mr Seyi Tinubu, explained that the event was aimed at celebrating the bravery of Nigeria youths who gave in their time, talent and treasure towards the actualization of success of the President elect during the last presidential election.


According to Tinubu, the concert in it’s entirity was aimed at a unifying the Nigeria youth with one goal and one future and to intentionally involve other youths across political divides, that Nigeria is one irrespective of their religious, political or ethnical affiliation.


He further assured young Nigerians that the next government will be youth-centric right from inception till the end of the administration.


In similar vain, the son of the vice president elect who also doubles as the Vice Chairman of the LOC of the concert, Ameer Kashim Shettima noted that the youth are he true heros of sustainable decocracy, hence the need to always think and put Nigeria first ahead of any divide or interest.


He urged Nigerian youths, especially those with the the belief that Nigeria cannot be better to be rest assured that Renewed Hope is here to stay for a better Nigeria that we all crave for.


For this part, the Secretary of the LOC, Dada Olusegun, maintained that apart from being a unity concert, there is a need to appreciate young Nigerians for their efforts and supports towards the emergence of the President-elect at the polls.


In his words, ” The Nigerian Youths didn’t just go out to vote, but they defended our democracy from being truncated, so we have to celebrate them. This is our own way of appreciating them.” He said.


Ademuyiwa Adebola Taofeek, Chairman of the Media Committee of the Reknewed Hope Concert noted that the President-Elect’s victory is worth celebrating, hence the reason why the concert took place.


Taofeek said the youth are the upholder of sustainable democracy and shouldn’t allow themselves to be dissuade with fake news which can truncate a democratic rule, but be a redeemer of the true democracy.


Also in attendance are Senator Godswill Akpabio,F.CT Minister of State Hajia Ramatu Aliyu, Minister of Youth and Sport Sunday Dare, Hon Faleke, Olusegun Eleniyan.


APC National Women Leader Dr Beta Edu, Deputy Women Leader Hajia Zainab Ahmad, APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Isreal among many other prominent Nigerians.


Other side attractions apart from the igniting performance at the event include drawing of raffle draws where 6 cars were won, over 100 smart phones were given out to young people via raffle draw.


Cultural performances by different cultural groups, and comedians. Meet and greet, wining and dinning, drama and spoken words presentation.


Some of the Nigerian international artists who performed at the event include Zinoleesky, Dj Consequence, DJ Yk MULE, Wande Coal, Skales, Qdot, Fireboy, ASAKE, chuddy k, kcee, waje, Bella Shmurda, Brymo, Small Doctor, Timaya, Young Jonn, seyi vibez, Buju Bnxn, Pasuma, Naira Marley among many others.
