Armed men have launched an assault on the peaceful Mashafa area of Mpape, located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Abujapress reports that the operation, which unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, resulted in the abduction of at least four innocent residents.
The entire incident reportedly lasted approximately one hour.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailants specifically targeted certain individuals in the area.
Accounts from a resident named Zack revealed that the gunmen methodically infiltrated the victims’ homes, forcibly taking them away.
“They arrived in the early hours around 1:00 am, heavily armed with sophisticated weapons. The reverberation of their gunshots filled the air, echoing through the night for about an hour,” Zack recounted.
“The selection of their victims indicated a premeditated plan. They meticulously entered each house to seize their targets. Among the abducted are an Executive Officer of a prominent logistics company, a manager of a renowned bakery, another individual managing an Oil dump company, and the last one is employed by a well-known construction company.”
This newspaper learnt that when the FCT spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, was contacted, he assured of providing further details regarding the incident in due course.
