Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, says governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday brainstormed on several issues with President Bola Tinubu.

Sani, who made this known in a tweet on his Twitter handle, said some of the issues include the removal of fuel subsidy and its impact on the people.

He said : “In my capacity as the Vice Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF) I joined my colleagues, members of the influential forum for an important meeting with our dear leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

“We discussed crucial national issues such as the removal of subsidy from fuel and the urgent need to determine appropriate palliatives to cushion the effect on the citizens.

” PGF members believe Mr. President acted in good faith. With time the pain being suffered by the citizenry will ease off as competition will drive down prices of petroleum products. Enough resources will also be saved to address the developmental challenges facing the country.

“The Forum subsequently held a closed-door meeting chaired by H.E. Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and then proceeded for another meeting with the President of the Senate, H.E. Dr. Ahmad Lawan. The meeting with the National Assembly Chairman centred on the forthcoming inauguration of the 10th National Assembly and the need to ensure rancour – free leadership succession. ”
