A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to seek for help after police asked her to pay N70,000 to track her stolen phone.

Esther Chuks said she was robbed by a private car owner who disguised as a commercial driver in Lagos.

In a series of tweets, Esther said it happened on Sunday morning, July 16, at Idejo street off Adeola Odeku road in Victoria Island.

She said the private car owner pulled over as though he was a commercial car and that she heard him call her destination and so she hopped in.

She said the criminal began to talk to her nicely until he pulled over, assaulted her before stealing from her iphone and wiring all her money from her bank account. She alleged that the police are demanding for N 70, 000 to help her track her phone.
