A 47-year-old  commercial motorcyclist, Oghenekaro Araja, was killed over the weekend in Delta State.

Araja also worked as a correctional officer in the state before he was murdered in Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the state while using his motorcycle for transportation at the close of work.

He was attacked and killed close to the Ogume junction axis of the town, with the assailant also scaping with his motorcycle.

A source told DAILY POST that motorcycle snatchers operate in the area at night.

The Delta Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident.

“It is suspected that it was a passenger that killed him. He hit him from behind and made away with his motorcycle. There was was no injury,” he said.
