Peter Okoye has claimed that he spends about N3 million monthly to purchase diesel for his household.

Peter, one-half of the iconic music duo P-Square, vented his concerns about the current state of Nigeria’s economy.

In an Instagram story, he lamented over the significant impact of rising costs on everyday life, particularly in the context of soaring diesel prices.

Okoye claimed that his monthly spending on diesel now stands at a whopping 3 million Naira.

According to the singer, this amount is almost 20 times the money he spent on purchasing his first car many years ago, which cost him 120,000 Naira.

His post confirmed the severity of Nigeria’s economic issues, with increasing costs affecting not only individuals but also businesses and industries. Okoye’s message resonated with many who have also felt the impact of economic fluctuations.

Lately, Peter Okoye has been a topic of controversy on social media for more than just his economic concerns. He earlier got himself entangles in an online war when he advocated for police involvement and justice in the case of Mohbad’s passing.

Some netizens accused him, along with Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh, of pursuing the matter for clout rather than genuine concern, adding a layer of complexity to the discussions surrounding these issues.
