The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Women Mobilization to Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Dame, Chief Mrs Rita Daniels Chukwuji has congratulated her principal the governor on his victory at the Court of Appeal Lagos. 


A three-member tribunal headed by Justice C.H. Ahuchaogu on Friday dismissed the petition filed by former Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressive Congress (APC).


The tribunal held that the petition contained unsubstantiated allegations, noting that it was devoid of merit and speculative.


Rita Daniels in a congratulatory message on Saturday said the affirmation of the governor's victory is a manifestation of his popularity which saw him emerge the governor in the March 18 governorship election in the state. 


She noted that the popularity of the PDP in the state, owing to its transformative agenda has waxed stronger over the years, even more amplified by Gov. Oborevwori whom she said has embarked on aggressive efforts to drive an inclusive government that gives women and youths opportunity to thrive. 


She added that the new lease of economic steam the state is witnessing now is due to the massive empowerment agenda the governor has introduced in a bid to raise the standard of living of the people of the state. 


While congratulating the governor, she expressed hope that this victory would further energize him to do more for the people of Delta State.
