Parents of a seven-year child, Omah Ekwueme are calling on kind-hearted Nigerians to come to their aid as they seek to raise the sum of N4m to fund her surgery.
The fund will cover admission, surgery, drugs and other expenses.
The young Ekwueme according to a radiology report has umbilical hernia which needs urgent surgery to enable her leave.
Medical sources say the patient has opening in her navel, which will only require only a surgery to seal.
Her mother, Mrs. Obiara Ekwueme. is appealing to individuals, philanthropic organisations, government entities and others to come to the aid of the family.
She said the family has exhausted its meagre resources in Ekwueme's treatment without any result.
According to her, she has lost appetite, living in pain day and night as a result of her daughter's ill health.
A private hospital in Port Harcourt, Rivers State says it is equipped with the facility and manpower to successfully carry out the surgery, implying that she may not need to be flown abroad.
The mother solicits assistance to raise the amount to help her daughter live her normal life.
