The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has named Victor Ojelabi as acting Managing Director.

Sources from AEDC confirmed the development on Monday.

Ijelabi, until his appointment, was the company’s Chief Internal Auditor.

“It is true. The CIA is now the acting Managing Director,” he said.

Meanwhile, the head of media, Etim Donald, has yet to respond to the development.

However, Abujapress learnt that Ojelabi was named in an acting capacity because the substantive MD, Christopher Ezeafulukwe, is on sick leave in the United Arab Emirates.

Recall that barely five months ago, AEDC announced Ezeafulukwe as its new managing director.
