Algeria has parted ways with head coach Djamel Belmadi effective immediately following their group stage elimination at the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Algeria finished last in the group with two points, having lost surprisingly to Mauritania 1-0 on Tuesday night and drawing twice with Angola and Burkina Faso.
Belmadi joined his Ghanian and Ivory Coast counterparts Chris Hugh and Jean Louis Gasset respectively who were sacked earlier today for early elimination from the tournament.
