The chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Zacch Adedeji is calling on Nigerians to be patient with the Bola Tinubu’s administration and maintained that the new government won’t overtax the citizens.
Speaking on Channels Television, Adedeji, who was sharing insights into the operations of the FIRS and the concerns over taxation in the country, asked Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu’s government in its quest to better the lives of citizens.

“We understand that it is normal that when we are in this time, it is like when a plane is taking off. We are just taking off. This is a taking off time for us and we would soon balance when we would ask everybody to lose their belts and continue,” he said.

“This is just taking off,” he maintained. “You should be truthful and would have seen that we really know what we are doing. We have plans. We understand the enormity of the pains of Nigerians. We are working day and night, led by Mr President, to make sure that citizens actually feel the impact of good governance.”
