The Vice Chancellor of University of Abuja, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, has admonished students of the institution to work hard following the release of last semester results in record time.

The VC, in a message shared on the University’s Facebook page on Friday, expressed delight over the timely release of the results, promising reward for the affected faculties.

The message read : “My dear Staff and Students,

It is with tremendous joy and satisfaction that I announce that on record time, and with the exception of TWO Faculties, Law and Management Sciences, ALL other University faculties that participated in this last examination, have released their grades to our dear students. From the bottom of my heart, I want to sincerely thank all the lecturers that have worked around the clock to grade their students and upload their results, and the Faculty Boards that met to approve those results, and the Deans that promptly recommended the approved grades on behalf of their faculties.

I can assure you that whatever is the grade made by a student, such students and their parents are happy today as they can print out their grades as records of their performance in the last semester — and being the second semester, even now know their performance in the academic year. All these faculties are hero faculties, and the GST is also being celebrated today with the Innovation Hub and Creative Technologies (IHCT), University of Abuja and the Information Technology Management Services (ITMS) for their exceptional success in the CBT Examinations.

I want to assure all our hero faculties and the units concerned that your University management will reciprocate in a big way to register its gratitude and happiness at this feat that has been achieved.

As the Returning Students prepare for the 2023-2024 Academic year first semester lectures, they can review their performances in the previous year and determine at what level they need to work this new session towards the attainment of the class of degree they wish to graduate with.

I welcome all new and returning students to the 2023-2024 Academic Session. The University will do everything possible to ensure your success. Please work and also have fun. Continue to show to the world the great exemplary character of the UofA students. When you see your lecturers in class or anywhere, please express gratitude to them for their hard work; and in particular your continued dedication to your studies would be an awesome reward they would be happy about.

I look forward to seeing you around, and wish you a Happy and Prosperous 2024!”
