Residents of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo plight, took to the streets on Monday to protest the soaring food prices and the plight of the economy.

It was observed that protestors congregated around the Mokola region in the state carrying banners with various inscriptions such as ‘End food rise and inflation,’ ‘The poor are starving,’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises,’ among others.

They were also chanting songs to show their grievances.

Armed policemen were seen at the protest scene.
