Top personalities from across all works of life have been honoured at the recently concluded Great Achievers Award for Human and Community Development organised by Great Achievers Initiative for Youth and Community Development (GAIYD). 

They include, Hon. Jude Akpua PhD The Deputy majority leader, member representing Njikoka 2 constituency Anambra state house of assembly Awka also the Chairman of Moorex Properties Limited, Chidi Charles Amechi, a real estate tycoon who had equally bagged several awards in the past.

Great Achievers Award took place at National Merit Award House Maitama, Abuja and has as the theme, "The Impact of Male Child Education on Family Values and Societal Development". 

It was organised to raise awareness on the need to increase the campaign for a better welfare for the boy child and the protection of his rights. 

Others honoured include, Sly Ezeokenwa Esq., Barr. Mainasara Kogo, Hon. Jude Akpua, Stephanie Nandi, Dr Maxwell Stephen, Alhaji Aminu Waziri, Nasiruddi Shuraim, Dr Arome Salifu and Eugenia Chinenye. 

Others are, Engr Hyelni Dogo, Nasiruddin Shuraim, Amb. Lilian Chinwe, Mrs Sophie Uzodimma, Dr chioma Amajoh, Hon. Chambers Okerie, Hon Chinwe Mgbajika, Ujunwa Hillary, Engr. Emmanuel Ebite, Chief Kenneth Adili Ubah and a host of others. 

The founder of GAIYD, Amb. Hillary Akpua while noted that the awardees were carefully selected from among those nominated from across the country. 

He emphasized that time has come for necessary attention to be paid to the welfare and development of the boy child in the society, urging that all should lend support to achieve this. 

While congratulating the awardees, he charged them to continue to be the light the world needs at this time and continue imparting the society.
