The troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) have eliminated dozens of Islamic States West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists on the shores of Lake Chad.

It was gathered that the troops of Sector 3 Damasak, Nigeria and Sector 4 in Diffa, Niger Republic, conducted the  joint coordinated fire mission on Saturday along the River Kamaodaugu axis.

According to a report by counter insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, the mission was aimed at two new camps/hideouts of ISWAP along the border on River Kamoudougu, which is a tributary of Lake Chad.

A Human Intelligence report confirms that scores of terrorists were eliminated during the fire mission, Zagazola Makama added.
