Nigerian billionaire businessman, Tony Elumelu, on Friday added another year to his age.

The Delta-born philanthropist, in a post on his verified Facebook page, said as part of the birthday celebration, 5000 young people from across Africa would get $5,000 as a seed capital for their business through his Foundation.

His words : “+1 today and no better way to celebrate than announcing the 2024 beneficiaries of The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programmme.

” Over 1,000 young men and women from all 54 African countries who will each receive a non refundable seed capital of $5,000 to help start their own businesses.

” This journey began 10 years ago by Awele and I , with a vision to democratize luck and transform lives across Africa .

” So, today is about Impact, Reflection, and Gratitude 🙏”

Abujapress reports that Elumelu chairs several big business organisations including Heirs Holdings, Transcorp, United Bank for Africa, among others.
