A renowned tourism promoter, Amb. Phil Roberts has met with the Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John where he discussed his forthcoming project of 'Tourism Across The Niger' with her. 


Also at the visit was Executives of his Tourism Volunteers Network where the discussion centred on ways to develop the country's tourism potentials. 


Amb. Phil Roberts sought the endorsement of the Minister in his forthcoming 'Tourism Across The Niger' project which will see him trek from Abuja to major tourist sites in Delta, his home state. 

The Minister while welcoming the delegation thanked Amb. Roberts for his campaign to advance the horizon of tourism in the country. 


She said the federal government is committed to partnering with individuals and organizations will add value and make the country's tourist sector a viable revenue generator. 


She therefore gave her endorsement for the project, wishing him well in this endeavour. 


The 'Tourism Across The Niger' project takes effect from May 20 and will see the Executive Director Tourism Volunteers Network trek from Abuja to Delta state where he would be visiting Abaja resort owned by His Royal Highness, King Friday Abaja and the tourism resort of Sen. Ned Nwoko representing Delta North Senatorial District. 

The mount Ned Nwoko Resort and the Sports University of the Senator will also be visited during Amb. Phil Roberts' visit. 


They are among the 21 tourist sites approved by Delta State government. mount Ned Nwoko Resort has a museum, farm and animal kingdom. It also houses a tortoise said to be about 100 years old. 


It is also mosquito free, sitting in about 1000 feet above sea level, making it the highest point in Delta State. 


The trekking will see him walk through the FCT, Kogi Edo, then Delta State, covering about 27,600 minutes by foot to see various tourism potentials in Delta State.
