A non-governmental organisation, Favour Aro Care Foundation which seeks to promote the protect child right is set for official launch. 


It will be formally inaugurated for operations on Friday, May 31 at Snow, Wuse 2 Abuja. 


The founder of the foundation, Miss Favour Aro said the decision to set it up is borne out of her passion and love for the welfare of children in order to protect their future. 


Listing their aims and objectives, age said, "Sensitization of the public, parents, caregivers, and children themselves on their rights.


"To influence policies at local, national, and international levels in protecting and promoting children's rights. 


"Creating awareness programs and campaigns aimed at preventing child abuse, exploitation, child labor, trafficking, and other forms of violence against children." 


Nigeria has been grappling with high rate of out-of-school children as a result of poor awareness especially in the northern region. 


Many children and under-aged girls have also been taken outside the shores of this country for trafficking, forced labour and sexual exploitations. 

Advocating for child's right to quality education and healthcare, including access to quality schools, medical facilities, and essential services at local and international level is also a core objective of this foundation. 


It is also seeking to work towards providing support and services for vulnerable children, including those living in poverty, orphanage home or those with disabilities and special abilities.
