In a significant tribute, President Bola Tinubu has officially renamed the M18 road in Abuja’s Guzape District after acclaimed novelist, Chinua Achebe.

The announcement came during President Tinubu’s speech at the road’s inauguration ceremony on Saturday, June 8.

The news was shared by Olusegun Dada, Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media, who posted: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commissions the M18 road infrastructure in Guzape District of Abuja. The road is named in honor of the late Nigerian novelist and poet, Professor Chinua Achebe.”

PlatinumPost reports that Tinubu had four days ago named the newly inaugurated Arterial Road N20 in Abuja in honour of Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka.

The President inaugurated the road, which runs from Northern Parkway to Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX) in Abuja, on Tuesday.
