The Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, originally set for Monday afternoon, has been rescheduled.
Ministers who arrived at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa around noon were seen leaving as the meeting was postponed. Only a few ministers had made it to the venue before the change.
The rescheduling appears to be linked to an ongoing security meeting at the Presidential Villa, chaired by President Bola Tinubu. While the agenda for the FEC meeting was not publicly disclosed, it was likely to address the recent protests and consider strategies moving forward.
This development follows President Tinubu’s nationwide address on Sunday, where he urged protesters to halt their actions and engage in dialogue.
